Extreme Dreams USA offers youth that have an aspiration of entering the music industry, an opportunity the showcase their talent on a citywide stage with the possibility of being awarded a college scholarship. The long-term goal of Extreme Dreams USA is to empower students with the tools and resources they need to be successful with their music careers. This program will shed light on the fact the music industry is a business and needs to be treated as such.

 

Extreme Dreams USA Music Program

The EDUSA team visits local schools and offers courses in related fields such as:

• Instrumental and Sheet Music Lessons

• Recording and Engineering courses

• Music business courses

• Live performance workshops

• Promotion and Marketing techniques

 

Extreme Dreams USA Monthly Video Showdown  

High School students:

• Submit one minute videos of themselves singing a song of their choice

• Upload video to High School Video Contest Link via EDUSA Facebook page

• Promote their video

• The students with the most votes at the end of the month wins

• Monthly winners will recieve cash prize long with sponsor donated prizes

 

Elementary and Middle School Students:

• Parents submit one minute videos of children singing a song of their choice

• Upload child’s video to the Kids Video Contest Link via EDUSA Facebook page

• Promote their video

• The students with the most votes at the end of the month wins

• Monthly winners will sponsor donated prizes

 

Both the High School and Kids contests will run simultaneously. Winning High School and Grade School students will receive TV Interviews and Extreme Dreams USA Gift Packs. Only the High School students will win the cashier’s check and opportunity to compete for college scholarship. 

 

Music Essay writing contest 

The essay writing contest is a program all students can participate in. The winning essay will be read at the EDUSA Scholarship Showcase by the winning student and printed in the Extreme Dreams USA Program. The winning will also receive an EDUSA Gift Pack and will be featured on TV as the winner of the essay contest. This will require no special musical skill or talent, only a well written essay on any subject dealing with music. Extreme Dreams USA will also provide a number of music subjects to give the students suggestions on an approach. Titles such as or will be available for students to select from. The title suggestions will be posted on the Extreme Dreams USA Facebook page and Website.

 

Scholarship Showcase

Open call contestants will compete for the $5,000 scholarship grand prize. Students will perform in front of a group of music industry judges that will be carefully selected for this event. The students will receive professional photo shoot leading up to the showcase and a stage ready makeover on show day. Individual pictures and interviews will be posted in the Extreme Dreams USA Program along with strategically placed billboards of the final 7.
