Extreme Dreams USA’s mission is to bridge the educational gap between high school completion and a lucrative music career for students in disadvantaged neighborhood through an interactive curriculum that incorporates music, business, science, and technology.
Extreme Dreams USA (EDUSA) provides outlets for Memphis's underprivileged students through music, science, technology, and education. The program works to form partnerships with local school districts, churches, and the juvenile court system.
EDUSA's goal is to foster a commitment to students that builds pro-social relationships, good interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future. Only through personal relationship building can a sense of individual responsibility be reestablished that will give the students the commitment to follow through on a path to adulthood with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
The program will be duplicated in local community centers and schools in order to impact as many students as possible. After extensive research, we have found that no other programs in the area have the ability to execute a creative, developmental musical arts program like we have developed.
The EDUSA curriculum differs from other music programs because we instruct them in ways that will generate a career out of their artistic talents. Students walk away with a higher sense of self worth, a better understanding of their talents, and the skills to make a successful career in a very competitive industry.
